Heidi was seized in an animal neglect case. While PAWS was trying to find her a forever home, she was diagnosed with bone cancer. Heidi passed away on July 15, 2011. We will miss her smiling face, constantly wagging tail, and big sloppy kisses.

“I would like to make a donation in memory of my most loyal and sweet friend and buddy, Ned Goldberg, who passed away on July 7th. I miss his little face every day. I also miss the pitter patter of his little feet when he was frantically trying to locate me. He was such a grateful little boy.” – Dr. Eva DeCozio-Bush

“Mercedes and Spencer were both rescues with baggage. Mercy was old and past her adoption ‘prime’ and poor Spency was completely blind from suspected abuse and unable to trust. These two are testament to what smothering with love will do to any ‘broken’ animal.” – Lisa Valeri

“Nicky was adopted from the pound in March 1994. He passed away on May 5, 2011, but brought us 17 years of joy, love, and laughter.  Nicky will always be in our hearts.” – Michele and Scott

“Bear was loved by all.  He taught his daddy and me how to love.  Bear lived to the ripe age of 15 years.  He’s now in his forever home in heaven and with us always in spirit.  We donate to PAWS and Amelia’s Fund in honor of Bear.  Thank you for everything you do PAWS ❤”  ~Angela

A Prayer for the Animals

Hear our humble prayer O God,

for our Friends, the Animals,
especially for animals who are suffering;
for any that are hunted or lost,
or deserted or frightened or hungry…
for all that must be put to sleep.
We entreat for them all thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them
we ask for a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us to be true Friends of the Animals
and so to share the blessings
of the merciful.
